1. Skating rink Railway Museum Utrecht

From 13 December 2025 to 4 January 2026, you can skate among the trains at the Railway Museum in Utrecht! During Winter Station, the museum exudes a special and magical atmosphere, with cosy lighting, Christmas decorations and an antique carousel. And who can say they've skated among the oldest trains in the Netherlands! If you fancy some real Dutch winter treats such as poffertjes or oliebollen, you can visit the various bars. There is a different programme every day with music and activities for children. A perfect outing for the family!

Important! Reserve your tickets for the Winter Station via the website. Skate hire is free, but cannot be reserved. Tip: Go skating in the afternoon or evening for a discount! An off-peak ticket (from 16:00) is cheaper.

2. Ice skating on the Vrijthof in Maastricht

Skate until you drop during Magical Maastricht from 28 November to 29 December 2025 on the Vrijthof! The Vrijthof will be transformed into a winter wonderland full of cosy stalls, hot chocolate and a beautiful view of the festively lit city. Amidst the sparkling lights and atmospheric Christmas decorations, you will find a beautiful covered ice rink measuring no less than 1,000 square metres (including a small replica of the Sint-Servaasbrug). This unique experience makes a day of skating in Maastricht particularly festive.

3. Ice rink Scheveningen

Skating by the beach is definitely an option! From 8 November 2025 to 8 February 2026, you can enjoy skating every day at the Kurhausplein at Scheveningen ice rink. With no less than 600 m² of covered ice, there is more than enough space to practise those pirouettes! Various events are also organised, including a Magical Winter Skating Show. Along the boulevard, there are plenty of places to warm up and enjoy a bite to eat after skating.

4. Jaap Eden Ice rink in Amsterdam

The iconic Jaap Eden Ice Rink in Amsterdam is the only outdoor 400-metre rink in the city! From 11 October 2025 to 22 March 2026, the skating season will be open here, and you can enjoy skating outdoors, surrounded by the atmospheric Amsterdam backdrop. From beginners to advanced skaters: everyone is welcome! The ice rink offers skating lessons, clinics and fun events. How about disco skating with colleagues or winter curling on the ice with friends? And all this in our beautiful capital city!

5. Skating rink Middelburg

The cosy indoor ice rink in Middelburg is a real must during a weekend in Zeeland. In the middle of the Market Square, between 27 November 2024 and 18 January 2025, you can skate around with a view of the beautiful Middelburg Town Hall. It doesn't get any better than this! This year, the rink is covered with a transparent structure, with open sides and an open “top”. So even if it rains (or snows), you can still enjoy pure winter fun.

6. Floating skating rink in Leiden

This winter, you can go ice skating in Leiden again! During the Winter Wonder Weeks, the city centre will be transformed into a charming winter destination, complete with a floating ice rink! 7. Skating rink Haarlem

The professional Ice Skating Rink Haarlem ice rink is for everyone: from novice skaters to true die-hards. The ice rink is now open until 29 March 2026. In the middle of the indoor complex, you can take your first steps, play a game of ice hockey or work on your pirouettes. Around the centre rink is the 400-metre track where you can race around every bend at speed. 8. Skating at the Uithof in The Hague

The Ice Sports Centre Eindhoven is a place where skating enthusiasts will never get bored this winter. With both a covered 400-metre track and a recreational track, there is something for everyone. For children, there are aids to help them learn to skate safely, and for experienced skaters, there are lessons and clinics to refine their technique. 10. Skating rink Rotterdam

From 22 November 2025 to 21 February 2026, you can enjoy skating again in Rotterdam. Dust off your skates, have them sharpened, and get your winter hat out of the attic! The rink is covered, so even in typical Dutch weather, you'll be fine at Schaatsbaan Rotterdam! This cover is also what makes the Rotterdam ice rink so special, as it consists of lanes with rainbow-coloured lights! The rainbow lighting of the 400-metre rink is on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4 p.m. There is also a curling rink (great for company parties), a silent disco, and all kinds of fun events organised around Sinterklaas and Christmas!
