Throughout the Netherlands, you'll see many beautiful medieval castles and country houses, but have you actually stayed in one yet? This road trip will take you past two beautiful castles and a country home, located in the Zeeland, North Holland and Utrecht nature.

Heemskerk

Slot Assumburg

  • Day 1: Arrival in Stayokay Heemskerk. How amazing is this! Now hop on your bike and cycle to the beach or the Noord-Hollandse Duinreservaat.
  • Day 2: Discover the rich Zaanstreek history in the Zaans Museum and spot the windmills at Zaanse Schans.
  • Day 3: The road trip continues to Bunnik. But first, let's enjoy breakfast!

Utrecht - Bunnik

Not a medieval castle, but a beautiful country house that we think fits this road trip perfectly! Bunnik has everything to offer:  both city and nature! Stay in this beautiful country house, surrounded by nature but still close to the centre of Utrecht.

  • Day 3: Arrival at Stayokay Utrecht - Bunnik. And make sure to visit the castle here as well, visit Kasteel de Haar!
  • Day 4: After a delicious breakfast, the road trip continues to Westhove Castle in Domburg!

Domburg

Kasteel Westhove

Stayokay Domburg is a hostel in a very special location: Kasteel Westhove (Westhove Castle). Complete with towers, coach house and a moat, this 13th-century castle makes fairy tales come to life!

  • Day 4: Arrival in Stayokay Domburg. What an incredible location! You can directly walk into the wooded nature reserve of the Manteling which also is located right on the beach.
  • Day 5: Get to know the Zeeuwse in the Terra Maris museum or discover the miracle of the flood defence system.
  • Day 6: The end of the road trip. But first: a royal breakfast!
