Let’s be honest, life in the city can be vibrant, but sometimes a bit lonely too. After all, do you actually know who your neighbours are and what their stories are? That’s why Stayokay locations in Amsterdam Oost (East), The Hague and Eindhoven are organising a No Border Breakfast. It’s a chance to really connect with the neighbourhood whilst enjoying a free breakfast.
Connecting with the neighbourhood
If you’ve come to the city as an (international) student, moved here from another country or don’t have many contacts in the area, it can sometimes be quite a challenge to connect with the city or find your place in ‘your (new) neighbourhood’. That’s why we’re organising the No Border Breakfast - to encourage these local encounters. And everyone’s welcome!
Something ‘of your own’
Taking part is really simple: head to one of the three participating Stayokay locations, bring something ‘of your own’ and take a seat at one of the long breakfast tables. And what that ‘something of your own’ is is entirely up to you – for example: a lovely story, a cherished object, a traditional family recipe or a game that brings people together. This creates a space where different cultures meet and where there’s room for conversation and connection.
Where and when
The No Border Breakfast will take place on Friday 13 November at three locations. Breakfast will be served from 07.30 to 10.00. You can register via the registration form. Participation is free, but places are limited. So be quick!
